August 2022 GCSE Results
GCSE success at Harris Academy St John’s Wood with great results across the board and half of students achieving the demanding Ebacc
Students at Harris Academy St John’s Wood are today celebrating their GCSE results with a strong performance across the board.
63% of students achieved a strong pass (grade 5) or above in both English and maths, far higher than the 2019 national rate of 43%. Half of students achieved at least a Grade 4 in their Ebacc subjects with nearly 40% doing so at Grade 5.
Amongst those celebrating were Hari De Palmer and Selina Chen who each achieved a ‘super’ Grade 9 in eleven subjects. Very few students across the country will achieve this number of Grade 9s, which are the equivalent of an A**.
Hari said:
“The hard work paid off and I am so happy, thank you to all my teachers for all their support over the years”.
Samantha Green, Principal of the Academy said:
“I’d like to congratulate all our students celebrating today. There are some magnificent individual performances as well as excellent overall figures.”
“We look forward to welcoming these students back to Harris St John’s Wood in September to begin their Sixth Form studies and to replicate the excellent A Level performances we enjoyed last week”.
