A-Level Results 2023
OXFORD CALLING: HARRIS ACADEMY ST JOHN’S WOOD SEES FIRST-EVER STUDENT SECURE A PLACE AT OXFORD UNIVERSITY
Students at Harris Academy St John’s Wood are today celebrating their A Level results. The Academy’s students received an excellent set of results enabling a number of them to secure a place at their university of choice.
Among those celebrating today is Ethan Ibrahim who has achieved an A* and two As, securing a place at Exeter College, University of Oxford to read Biochemistry. When Ethan begins his course in the Autumn, he will become the first-ever Harris Academy St John’s Wood student to go to Oxford. He will also become the first member of his family to go to university.
Commenting on Ethan’s success, Samantha Green, Principal of the Academy, said:
“Throughout his time at Harris Academy St John’s Wood, Ethan has been an exemplary student. He is incredibly determined and has worked very hard over the past two years, and I am thrilled that he has achieved the results he deserves. I have no doubt that Ethan’s achievements will inspire other students from our Academy as well as other young people from his community of what can be achieved.”
Also celebrating today are:
· Denis Ternava who achieved one A* and three As securing a place at the University of Aberdeen to read Pharmacology;
· Abdullah Sandigan who achieved three As securing a place at the University of Warwick to read Chemistry
· Ria Shuraj who achieved one A*, one A and a Distinction* securing a place at Kings College London to read English Literature;
Samantha Green said:
“Congratulations to all our other students on their results today. Across the board, we have achieved an excellent set of results which is testament to how hard our students have worked over the past two years. I wish them all the best as they embark on the next stage of the education.”
