Year 11 student describes art to the public at the Wallace Collection
On Saturday 20th October Charles described five artefacts to eager members of the public. He was trained by novelist Lynda Waterhouse as part of the Wallace Collection's Teen Outset work. He deftly described how Georgian culture was not unlike scenes from the film 'Crazy Rich Asians' referring to a Sir Thomas Lawrence portrait of King George IV- but as well as being funny he also cleverly drew people's attention to a portrait of a young boy, one of the few diverse portraits at Hertford House.
Many people were very impressed with Charles' speaking skills, including actor Michelle Collins!
Charles has now inspired fellow students to participate.
Well done Charles!
