Year 11 and 13 Celebration Evening 24 January 2019

On a January evening a marvellous and meaningful event was arranged in the school auditorium to give thanks and awards to our examinees in the summer.

 

Dr. Chris Tomlinson gave an impassioned address about the dedication and determination of our students and the considerable achievements of our examinees.

 

The evening was hosted by this year's head girl Juweriya Abdikadir and head boy Robin Bahrami. Last year's head girl Maryam Hajjaj and head boy Asa were fantastic performers as was Amir.

 

Members of the senior leadership team were proud to present awards to the talented and special award winners listed below:

Mr. Liam McGillicuddy also gave a moving speech about the significant achievements of the students. Friends and family were in the audience, who were also treated to a special address by the international singer Emeli Sande, who undertook a Q & A about her career, and about how her love for education came from her family. She then decided to sing her wonderful song 'Read all about it' whilst playing our school grand piano absolutely brilliantly. Many thanks to the members of the Performing Arts team who ensured that the evening was so well orchestrated.
