Elmo at the Articulation Prize at the Royal Academy
We were more than happy to support Elmo by watching him deliver his 'brilliant presentation on Canaletto's painting 'Bacino di San Marco from San Giorgio Maggiore' on Monday 13th January. Eliza Bonham Carter, the Head of Royal Academy Schools and adjudicator of the ARTiculation Prize heat in Burlington House praised Elmo for taking us on a journey of revelation, and into the details of the history of the painting. She applauded Elmo for drawing us into the structure and the detail of the painting and for connecting the past and the present in a way that was exciting.
The standard was incredibly high , with representatives from nine other schools including Harris Girls' Academy East Dulwich, Francis Holland, Putney High School and Queen's Gate School. Year 12 students came to support and learnt a great deal about passionate and insightful critical analysis as well as significant moments in the history of art.
