Leigh Day - Law Firm
On Wednesday 2nd May 2018, Year 12 students went to meet Alice Ramsay and Gene Matthews at the prestigious Leigh Day Law Firm in Clerkenwell.
The students watched presentations about the incredible work the company do. Then they were assigned teams and debates that they will be preparing for a debate competition at school on Wednesday 27th June. Each participating student will not only benefit mentored by a lawyer, but they will also win the chance to obtain an internship. Well done Year 12s!
There will be four debate questions:
- Do driverless cars make roads safer?
- Should artistic expression ever be censored?
- Is closed circuit TV (CCTV) a threat to our freedom?
- Are political parties bad for democracy?
