Careers advisor: Natalie Phillips
Workdays: Thursday
Time: 8:30am-4pm
Location: Careers office inside the library
- A qualified, impartial, and independent careers advisor for personalised careers education information advice and guidance
- Advice and guidance interviews this involves engaging a purposeful conversation to help establish students’ abilities, preferences, concerning post-16/18 transition i.e., University, Employment, Apprenticeship, T Levels qualifications.
- Activities which challenge stereotyping, raise aspirations, and develop skills and qualities that improve employability
- A planned programme relevant to each year group
- Group work sessions in support of aiding students to make informed decisions regarding their future learning options and how to access relevant information
- Up to date information pertaining to local and national labour market trends
- Organised events, where students can meet representatives from education training, and industry.
Careers apprentice: Avisha Essoo
Workdays: Tuesday and Thursday
Time: 8:30am-4pm
Location: Careers Office inside the library
Role:
- observe groupwork and 1:1 sessions
- assist Careers Advisor where needed
- small independent groupwork
- Year 11 1:1 sessions under observation
- help with CV and cover letters
- participate in event days
